About Deep Run Original
Free Will Baptist Church
Deep Run Original Free Will Baptist Church has been a pillar of the Deep Run community for over a century. Deep Run OFWB Church strives to provide a meaningful Christian experience for all people. We have Sunday school and Worship services every Sunday morning beginning at 10am and 11am. We also have mid-week Bible study on Thursday morning at 10am. Our Women's Auxiliary meet at the church on 4th Sunday at 4pm. Come join us "on the hill" and experience the warmth and welcoming spirit of Deep Run Original Free Will Baptist Church.
Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Joe Ard grew up in rural Lenoir County attending Lenoir County Schools, graduating at South Lenoir High School in 1978. He studied at the University of Mount Olive and was ordained by the OFWB in 1986. He has served on the Executive Committee and Memorial Committee of the Eastern Conference and pastored Davis, Bethlehem and Deep Run OFWB Churches. Pastor Joe also recently retired from Southeastern Freight lines as a Fleet Maintenance Manager. He was an employee there for 37 years.
Joe married Billie Voss in 1985. Billie was employed by Lenoir County School system for many years and is now retired. She is active in the local Church participating in the choir, Ladies Ministry, Sunday School, Small Group Studies and she continues to contribute to our Church Ministry. Joe and Billie have two sons, Billy Joe and Caleb.
